Basic Energy Sciences Synchrotron Radiation Center

The Basic Energy Sciences Synchrotron Radiation Center (BESSRC) at the Advanced Photon Source(APS), Argonne National Laboratorywas formed of scientists from the Chemistry, Materials Science, Geosciencesand Physics Divisions at ANL and researchers from Northern Illinois University.

The BESSRC Group, part of X-ray Operations and Research (XOR) in the APS Experimental Facilities Division operates two sectors (Sectors 11 and 12) that serve the research needs of users with particular interests in Materials Science, Chemical Science, Atomic Physics and Geosciences.

QSE - an EXAFS Data Viewer and Averager for Spec Data Files

I have written software to ease the process of normalizing and averaging EXAFS data taken with multi-element detectors using the 'Spec' data acquisition system. The software is available for Linux, Windows and Mac OS X - check it out!
